FAQ — currency exchange in Vietnam
Rate lock, cities, passport checks, fees, ATM payout, safety, and how our rate differs from the central-bank table.
How long is the rate locked?
60 minutes from deal creation. After that you need a fresh quote at the current rate.
Which cities do you cover?
Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Can Tho, and Vung Tau. Confirm the delivery zone in the deal or with support via messengers.
Do I need a passport?
For amounts from roughly $500 equivalent — yes, for compliance. The exact threshold is configurable; support will guide you on larger deals.
Are there hidden fees?
The amount you receive is shown before payment in the calculator and the deal. The operational service rate already reflects exchange terms — it is not “central-bank plus a surprise later”.
How is your rate different from the central bank?
The central-bank rate is a reference. On the site you see an operational exchange rate used for deals. More context: central bank vs real rate and /rates.
What VND payout methods exist?
Cash delivery or meetup, ATM withdrawal (including QR when available), and transfer to a Vietnamese bank account. Details: How it works.
Can I exchange rubles in Vietnam?
Yes — via an online deal paid from Russia with VND payout in-country. Street RUB exchange is uneven and often priced worse.
Is this Mir / UnionPay card acceptance?
We are an exchange service with VND payout (delivery / ATM / transfer), not a merchant acquirer. For cards at local terminals, follow your issuer and the merchant’s rules.
How do I contact support?
Only the official Telegram and WhatsApp channels. Never send funds to details from random chats or stories.
What if the rate updates while I am calculating?
Before you create a deal, the calculator may ask you to continue with the new rate. After the deal is created, the 60-minute lock applies — pay inside that window.
